I have eaten at many different Indian restaurants over the years and this is the best. If I lived in Rye, I'd be a frequent visitor but I always go when I am there. Lovely people and wonderful food.

Lovely visit tonight. We've just moved to the area and have a tradition of visiting a lovely Indian on our first night in the home. Tonight was fantastic. Excellent service from all the staff and great food. Mixed starter could have benefited from being slightly bigger but was tasty and the message written on the plate was a good extra touch. I opted for the Lamb Jalfrezi and it was flavourful. Wife had the chicken biryani and she said it was great. We will be back
We did a take away. Coming from Asia their flavors are on point and super good! Better than some of the Indian restaurants we have been. must order the Jelfrezi chicken curry ... super good.
We were in rye for a mini break and ate at Mahdi Lounge last night. The service was impeccable, and staff so friendly and helpful and the food was AMAZING! The best curry we've ever eaten. If we are ever back in rye we'd come straight back to Mahdi Lounge! Absolutely couldn't recommend more!
Lovely food and great service. We had Mokta Gosht and Chicken Dhansak. Both nicely spiced and tasty dishes, and good portions for our appetites. Would visit again.
